We needed to vent and warn others off from the pain. I can't believe I PAID to see this drivel. It has been a while since I read the book, but my memory can't be that bad. I mean, that was NOT what I recall happening at all.
Carole and BJ's Questions about "Queen of the Damned" aka the "Most Horrible Movie of All Time"
1) Marius - Since when is he not sexy and is Lestat's sire? Since when did he kill humans in modern times? Since when does he have close cropped, ugly, dark hair? Isn't he blond?
2) Jesse - What? Since when do she and Lestat get together? Why is she a groupie? What about Louis?
3) What about Louis?
4) What about Louis?
5) Where the hell was Louis?
6) Why was Lestat with Jesse and not Louis?
7) What was with the ancients? And who was the freaky blond guy? Why don't they apparently have names?
8) Was that Pandora, and, if so, why did she die? Doesn't she have a book after this?
9) Armand, where art thou? Wait, you were never created because Lestat was brought across instead.
10) Khayman? Unless that freaky guy was Khayman? But, no, that's so wrong.
11)David, that was not David! Well, he was hot, but he should have been 30 years older. And he was the bright spot of the movie.
12) What happened to killing off the men and keeping the best bunch? Instead, we're going to kill everybody. Boy, we know why she should be running things.
13) The brain and the heart, cannibalism? Did I miss this somewhere? Turn to ash after being drained? What?
14) Mekare? I may not have spelled your name right, but that okay 'cause you apparently don't exist just like so many characters.
15) Since when did Lestat hang out in coven houses?
16) Again I ask, like so many times in the movie, where was Louis?
17) Jesse, aren't you psychic? If you were psychic you wouldn't be in it. Wait, you weren't psychic!
18) Nick, you're a girl? On a beach? Who dies? Without getting turned?
19) The concert - If you're so concerned with publicity, why did you FLY onto the stage and try to kill Lestat? And since when did Marius jump on the stage to help Lestat?
20) Gabrielle? - Lestat was apparently spontaneously born, he had no mother.
21) Isn't Jesse supposed to be crunched? I was looking forward to it. And why did Lestat give her the dark gift?
22) Isn't Lestat the Brat Prince? How come this is not mentioned at all?
23) Daniel? Where art thou? Oh wait, that's right, no Armand.
24) Claudia's ghost? Oh wait, Jesse isn't psychic anymore. Then why is she with the Talamasca?
25) Why did Marius have to kill those people at the beach? Couldn't he have just used one of his mindwarping things, like "You do not see us" they agree and leave them alone?
26) And last, but not least, where was Louis?
Only good part (At least for us HL fans)
Talamasca guys say to Jesse "We watch, record, but never interfere."
Well, there were one or two good scenes, but everything else just kind of erases them from mind.
This is the only time we've ever cried during a movie because it was so bad.
