I am a traveller of the broken trail
Which lies buried in the shattered remnants
Of the long abandoned and forgotten city
Over stones and through tangled vines
I pick my way down this endless path
Seeking a road that goes to
A question lying unanswered at its end
Few have trod upon this uncharted way
And fewer still have seen its closing
But those before are gone beyond
And give no advice or leave no trace
To those who follow them on the overgrown trail
Yet I am here, seeking the unknown
Standing at the beginnings of eternity
And waiting at the end of time
For I am a traveller of the broken trail
In the long forgotten city.
